It's almost here! We're kicking off the All City swim season with a party. Peanut Butter Jam!!! Come down to Capital Brewery. If you bring a jar of peanut butter, Capital will give you a free drink ticket. You can have your peanut butter donated to any pool in the conference, yep, we're jump starting the food drive season too.
The competition is back, but so is the collaboration. We're hosting a couple of ways for every pool to come over to Middleton on June 12th and raise some decent cash for their drives.
50/50 Raffle Buy a ticket in the 50/50 raffle. The winner gets to keep 50% of the take and the winner's designated pool gets 50% of the take put into their All City Food Drive coffers.
Craft Sale By kids for kids. Make a couple of anything you're pretty good at (1 to a dozen or so), mark them with a price between 25 cents and five dollars along with the name of the pool you want the money to go to and we'll do the rest. There will be a pick up at your pool just before the Peanut Butter Jam. Look for more info to follow.
Peanut Butter Drive Okay, there has to be rules to this thing so here they are:
* Only one drink ticket per person with a jar of peanut butter. You can bring us 50 jars of peanut butter and we will love you for it, but besides unending devotion, you'll still only get one drink ticket.
* Here's a hint though - The pool winner of the peanut butter challenge will win by weight and NOT by number of peanut butter jars. So while a small jar and a big jar only get one drink ticket, big jars help win the competition. And make more pbj sandwiches for kids who are out of school this summer, and isn't that the point?
Swimmers Just Want to Have Fun?
Well we have that on tap too. Show up, talk chlorine and goggle marks with friends you haven't seen since last summer. And dance. Dance your butter off! Better yet, make your coaches dance their butters off. We'll have an amazing DJ who will be offering up friendly competitions between swimmers, pools and coaches. Giggles are guaranteed.
You can't go hungry fighting hunger, you know.
Johnny Delmonico's (Madison's best steak house) will have delicious food for sale at the Peanut Butter Jam. 5% of their proceeds will go to Second Harvest. A good reason for you to have seconds, don't you think?
See you there!
